To a joyous 2017!

Dear everybody,

We’re closing out 2016 with a few more blog posts and some Glühwein (German mulled wine, yum) but know that many of you are heading out on your year-end holidays. We wish you and yours a happy ending to 2016 and nothing but the best for 2017.

Meet Minnie, Miney and Mo, 3 female deer that have visited our bird feeders for the last several years. They’ve learned that they can stick their tongues into the feeders and let the seeds slide into their mouths, emptying the feeders in one go. But they don’t abuse the privilege, coming by every few weeks for a top-up. The best part: the birds don’t seem to care, continuing to feed on the suet cakes right nearby.
