Let’s talk about your privacy while on this site. Who are we?
Our website address is https://schnitgercorp.com.
What personal data do we collect, and why?
Comments: When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data in the comments form and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection. We use Akismet to help filter; their privacy policy is here. Our little, niche-y website has collected over 100,000 spam comments over the years and we rely on Akismet to help us wade through them all.
Contact forms: Only what you enter, and then only until we’ve responded to your request.
Hot Topics to your inbox: If you use Google Feedburner, Google maintains that data. If you use WordPress to manage the subscription (and subscribe through this website), your email address is stored until you unsubscribe, which you can do here: subscribe.wordpress.com.
Do we set cookies?
We (Schnitger Corp.) do not set cookies; however, WordPress may, depending on how you access the site. These cookies should expire within 1 day.
Pages on this site may include embedded videos and images. Embedded content from other websites behaves as if the visitor has visited the other website. Those websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
With whom do we share your data?
Absolutely no one. We hate Internet junk, too. The only exception is if you leave a comment; then your contact data may be checked via an automated spam detection service.
How long do we retain your data?
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so that we can recognize follow-up comments.
What rights do you have over your data?
If you have left comments, you can ask us to erase any data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for legal or security purposes. (Which we can’t envision but have been advised to tell you about.)
