Today is March 14, which in the US is written as 3/14 and has morphed from a day to celebrate the birth of Albert Einstein and the Greek letter π  into a day to eat … pie.

The US Department of Education has some nifty ways to celebrate, including writing a Pi-ku. A haiku follows the pattern of 5-7-5 syllables in each line; a Pi-ku uses (yup) 3-1-4 syllables. My attempt:

Show a kid
That
Math can be fun

Now you try it! Post in the comments, but keep it G-rated, please!

So calculate and recite pi, talk to a kid about math and science, and plan something super cool for next year’s Pi Day (3/14/15!!).
