AVEVA today gave a quick update on results for its most recent six-month period: the company made “good progress” in the period ended September 30, 2012.

As has been the case recently, the oil and gas vertical drove sales in the company’s Engineering & Design Systems business,  while the Enterprise Solutions reported “further growth in revenue”.

Bocad, acquired in May 2012, “performed in line with expectations” and  integration with AVEVA “progressed according to plan”. More to come in a few days, but one of the best presentations I sat in on at last week’s AVEVA World Summit was by Vincent Oury of Bocad, who explained the product with much  charm and flair. It was a terrific acquisition by AVEVA, and customer interest is high.

Everything3D (E3D), AVEVA’s next generation design product, was unveiled last week at the Summit, so no revenue from that product was included in these results. E3D is scheduled ship in December, so should have a revenue impact in AVEVA’s second half, ending next March.

AVEVA will announce interim results on November 12, 2012.
