PTC just reported results for the fiscal first quarter. Quick points:

• Q1 revenue of $258 million, up 8%, driven by license growth of 48%
• PLM license revenue was $45 million, up 143% year-over-year
• PTC reports a slight year-over-year decline in maintenance and services revenue due to”soft license sales in 2009”
• The CAD business was “down modestly on a year-over-year basis” due to “the maturity of the CAD market and the ongoing impact of the global economy on the SMB space. Importantly, however, we are beginning to see signs of improvement in the SMB market and in the European and Asian markets as well."
• Q2 guidance is for revenue between $235 million to $245 million and FY 2010 revenue guidance has been Increased to $1.015 billion

That’s it for the press release. PTC will issue a boatload of supplemental material later tonight; once we’ve digested it and listened to the earnings conference call, we’ll post an update.
