Autodesk displaced worker program expands to N. Europe

Autodesk announced today that it was rolling out its program for displaced designers and engineers in Northern Europe, with more regions to follow. The Autodesk Assistance Program has been operational in North America since April and reports that, to date, nearly 7000 people have downloaded more than 8000 products.

(Side note: On June 10, the company said that 4700 participants had downloaded more than 5400 programs in the first six weeks of the program’s existence; it seems that demand has slowed a bit. Either the number of eligible applicants is slowing down or people found out about the offering early in the summer.)
