Rackable changes name to SGI

Remember how I lamented the loss of a brand as venerable as SGI’s? Well, it turns out that
Rackable felt the same way, changing its name and ticker symbol to SGI yesterday. In a
press release, CEO Mark Barrenechea said that “[l]everaging a unified SGI brand will enable
us to communicate more effectively to our customers and partners around the globe.
Implementing the new trading symbol better aligns our corporate brand with our vision.” The
brand lives on!
