And the news keeps rolling: Siemens Digital Industries Software (fka Siemens PLM Software) just announced that it will acquire select assets of ESTEQ, a PLMish distributor in South Africa. [Not in the deal is ESTEQ’s Test and Measurement business; it remains independent.]

Siemens says the acquisition will give it a direct presence in the South African market, that “will enable Siemens to expand and enhance how we support and service our customers across the region,” according to Edwin Severijn, Senior Vice President, Europe Middle East and Africa, Siemens Digital Industries Software. He continues, “the combination of ESTEQ’s local knowledge and Siemens expertise makes it easier than ever before for manufacturing companies to tap into Siemens’ full software portfolio.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close in the third calendar quarter of 2019.
