Quickie: AVEVA adds asset performance assets

Apr 5, 2019 | Hot Topics

Super-quick, as I’m about to board a flight: AVEVA has apparently decided its offering (the combined Schneider Electric Software and legacy AVEVA products) had a gap in asset performance management that could only be filled by acquisition.

To that end, the company today announced that will acquire the software assets of MaxGrip, a maker of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) solutions. MaxGrip will enhance AVEVA’s current offering by adding a templated approach to asset strategy decision-making for risk-based maintenance.

MaxGrip also brings with it a “rich library of asset fault codes and remediations” that will will strengthen AVEVA’s predictive asset analytics and “accelerate the deployment of artificial intelligence for prescriptive maintenance”.

The deal is subject to approval from MaxGrip’s shareholders and no purchase price was announced (at least that I could find quickly).
