Nemetschek revenue up 10% in 2011

Nemetschek today announced that preliminary figures show revenue grew 10% in 2011, to €164 million, just below its target of €165 million. License revenue was up 9% (to €81 million) and maintenance revenue was up of 11% to €74 million. Through the first nine months of 2011, license revenues had increased 6%, showing a clear acceleration in Q4, although the company press release didn’t explain the increase or discuss whether this momentum continued into 2012.

By geography, revenue in 2011 from outside Germany was up 9% to €96 million, as “Nemetschek achieved significant increases in France, the USA and Japan”. Within Germany, revenue was up 11% to €68 million euros.

By line of business, revenue from the company’s Design unit rose 9% to €133 million, while the Multimedia business unit reported revenues growth of 26% to almost €14 million. The company reports that the Multimedia growth was due to a “more streamlined and better positioned product range”.

Revenue from the company’s Build unit reported revenue of €14 million euros, while the Manage business reported revenue of €4 million euros. Both are up slightly from a year ago.

Nemetschek will disclose full results on March 30, 2012, and will provide more information and outlook for 2012 at that time.

Before the economic downturn stalled the building industry, Nemetschek had been growing nicely. These 2011 results mark the second year of revenue growth of over 10% — maybe the recession really is behind us.
