AVEVA acquires instrumentation product IDO

AVEVA has announced the acquisition of iDesignOffice Pty Ltd, the Australian creator of
Instrumentation Design Office (IDO). IDO is a set of applications for creating and maintaining
instrumentation engineering data for process plants. IDO will be renamed AVEVA
Instrumentation, and will be available standalone or integrated with other AVEVA products.

The aquisition of IDO bolsters AVEVA’s offering to the design community and enables it to
more closely integrated into the plant operations — where the continuing revenue stream lies
as plants are built over a few years but operational for decades.
